Create A Theme For Web Baby Shower
 If you are interested in creating a new theme for the current Web Baby Shower design template, you can follow these specifications for creating all of the necessary components. Please note that while Web Baby Shower is enthusiastic to see what you come up with, Web Baby Shower cannot guarantee that your design theme will be in place in time to use it for a specific Web Baby Shower or any other purpose and we appreciate your understanding.
Before you begin, please make sure that you have already taken an exhaustive look at the design themes that are already available. Due to contractual agreements with other creative producers, you MAY NOT base your theme design on any current design (unless you have specific permission from Web Baby Shower / Snowboard Mommy Productions.). We also are interested in seeing new design themes that are different from what we already have.
In addition, please submit only your own, original graphic design work. Do not use clipart or other creative materials that do not belong to you, even if they are in the "public domain."
All design theme materials submitted to Web Baby Shower become property of Snowboard Mommy Productions, who may use said design materials at will and at its own discretion. All design themes submitted must be made available for general use by any and all customers at Web Baby Shower. At this time, Web Baby Shower / Snowboard Mommy Productions is not able to reimburse you for any themes submitted. If your design is accepted and uploaded to the website for general use, we will give you credit on the Themes For Your Web Baby Shower Help page.
Each theme submitted for consideration must have the following components, web optimized and ready to be added/uploaded. Web Baby Shower requires that you submit the original source files (PhotoShop, Illustrator, etc) and corresponding web-optimized .GIF files.
Please layer your files so that it is easy to change the theme color so that additional color schemes may be created (ideally using hue/saturation). If you wish to create your own color schemes for your theme, generally blue, pink, green, yellow are the most desired color schemes at Web Baby Shower, but you do have some artistic license for what makes sense for your theme.
If you like, you can request a zipped file of PhotoShop (CS2) templates to guide you in creating your own original theme for Web Baby Shower; you may not use them for any other purpose. You may request the zip file using the Web Baby Shower Contact form.
When you are ready to submit your theme materials, please contact Web Baby Shower using the Contact form and we will send you instructions for submitting your theme.
Web Baby Shower Design Theme Components:
- Corner design, 50x50including background, .GIF, 5k max
- Horizontal Frame, (50) x 50, .GIF, 10k max
--Height MUST be 50px exactly; width can vary, preferably under 300px;
- Vertical Frame, 50 x (50), .GIF, 10k max
-- Width MUST be 50px exactly; height can vary, preferably under 300px;
-- It's OK to rotate the horizontal frame to generate the vertical frame (or vice versa!)
- Background: can be image or hex color (or both). Background images must be .GIFs under 10k in file size.
- Media Background:
The "media background" is the the background on which photos, clipart and videos are displayed. It is based on the scrapbooking style of mounting photos onto a paper matte. It should have a "paper" with "brads" in the corners.
- The visible "paper" background should be 400 x 400 with drop shadow; it can be solid or patterned, keeping in mind that photos, clipart and videos will be layered on top of it
- "Brads" can be in two - four corners on the photo background. Brads should be about 25 px or so.
- The total size of your media background should be up to 460x460
- The complete photo media background must be centered in a 460x460 sized file with transparent background
- .GIF format; 20k max
- Your own Original Clipart that is about 350 x 350, under 30k
-- Please note that the clipart may be used with different themes; please make sure that any bleeds or matting of the clipart must blend well with other background colors and "media backgrounds"
-- Your original clipart should be submitted with the following slogans, each saved in its own GIF file:
- (None - no writing, just the original clipart)
- It's A Boy
- It's A Girl
- It's A Surprise
- It's A Baby Shower
- It's Twins
- It's Triplets
- It's Quadruplets
- New Baby
- Hex color codes for the following HTML elements.
-- Prefer "web safety pallette" but you can get a little creative as long as the hex codes render correctly under different operating systems and web browsers:
- Background Color (please supply a coordinating hex color even if you choose to use a background image)
- Titles Color (eg: h1)
- Subtitles Color (can be the same as titles)
- Link Color (can be the same as Titles or Subtitles - must show up clearly on background color / image for visually impaired)
- Alternating Row Color (for "Birthday Bets" page and so forth). Black text must show up clearly on the alternating row color
- Bullet, 10x10, transparent background, .GIF, under 5k
- Brad, 50x50, transparent background, .GIF, 10k max (for printer-friendly color version, should match bullet or brads on Media Background)
- Printer-Friendly Low-Resolution Photo Mount
-- A 350x350 "matte" with drop shadow in a solid color that matches your theme , 350x350, .GIF, 20k max
- Printer-Friendly Hi-Resolution Photo Mount
- The "paper" for the Hi-Resolution Photo Mount can have patterns and brads and match your Media Background
- The "paper" mount should be about 530x530
- The brads should be about 75 px in size
- The entire hi-resolution photo mount should be contained in a 600x600 size file with transparent background
- Cloud Background, 8.5"x11" (96 ppi = 816 x1056), 40k (for printer-friendly color version), JPEG!!
The closer you follow the above specifications, the more likely your theme will be accepted and the more likely it will be uploaded in a timely manner. Any deviations from the specifications or lack of attention to details will cause delays in your theme being uploaded for general use.
