How Web Baby Shower Works

Web Baby Shower is designed to make it easy for everyone to participate in an online baby shower. Here's how it works:

  1. DECIDE YOU WANT TO HAVE AN ONLINE BABY SHOWER!
    This should be easy if you're already here. Check out these articles for tips on getting ready:

  2. SIGN UP!
    • Web Baby Shower set-up fee payments are now being handled by Snowboard Mommy.com's secure online shopping cart with secure real time credit card processing. It takes just a couple minutes to check out and complete your payment.
    • Once your credit card has been successfully charged, you will be asked to fill out a short form with information about the expecting parents and the due date. PLEASE make sure you complete this step before leaving your browser or I will not be able to set up your online shower
    • The setup fee is a one-time, non-refundable fee.
    • All Web Baby Shower requests are subject to approval. Please make sure your request is genuine and in good taste.

  3. READ YOUR "YOUR WEB BABY SHOWER IS READY" EMAIL CAREFULLY
    Once your Web Baby Shower is ready, I will send you an email with all the information you need to manage it. Keep this email in a safe place so you can refer to it throughout your online shower.


  4. VISIT YOUR NEW WEB BABY SHOWER
    • Simply click the link in your "Your Web Baby Shower is ready" email
      Don't forget to bookmark your Web Baby Shower as soon as you get there!
    • While you're there, make sure you leave a introductory message welcoming everyone and introducing yourself, the expecting parent(s) and any other news or requests you have


  5. CUSTOMIZE YOUR WEB BABY SHOWER BY LOGGING INTO YOUR HOST CONTROL PANEL:

    For complete information and instructions, please see the "Customize Your Web Baby Shower" help page. This is just a quick list of some of the features you can take advantage of at Web Baby Shower:

    1. Set up any online privacy and password security settings
    2. Choose a Web Baby Shower design theme
    3. Customize your Web Baby Shower home page
    4. Start your Web Baby Shower Journal (Blog)
    5. Add Gift Registries
    6. Upload Pictures AND Videos!
    7. Turn on your Games and Birthday BetsTM pages
    8. Schedule Live Chats
    9. Get your Free Conference Call Access Code


  6. INVITE EVERYONE TO YOUR WEB BABY SHOWER
    • You can use the Guest List Manager here at Web Baby Shower or send an invitation yourself via email (or some people even mail invitations to online showers!)
    • You can use your Guest List Manager throughout the course of your online shower to keep everyone up to date
    • You can add and remove Guests as needed throughout your online shower
    • You can send as many messages as you like, but try not to bug everyone too much!


  7. WATCH YOUR WEB BABY SHOWER BLOSSOM!
    • You will be touched and amazed as everyone visits your Web Baby Shower and signs the Guest Book, makes Birthday BetsTM and joins in on chats -- and they will love viewing photos, watching videos and helping out by shopping from your gift registry links.
    • It's easy for your guests to participate since anyone can view the photos and videos, check out the gift registries and leave a message without having to create an account
    • If you decide you need a more watchful eye, you can always add privacy and password protection through the Host Control Panel.
    • If you realize your password is keeping everyone out, just log in to your Host Control Panel to remove it.


  8. ANNOUNCE THE BIRTH -- INSTANTLY!
    The big day is coming up and you can help by getting your Web Baby Shower set up for an instant birth announcement!
    • A week or two before the due date, make sure your Guest List is complete (after all, you don't want to be doing this during labor!)
    • When the baby arrives click "announce the birth" from your Web Baby Shower and enter all the birth details
    • Check that you'd like an email to be sent to your Guest List
    • Submit the birth announcement form and your Web Baby Shower will be transformed into an online birth announcement and everyone on your Guest List will get an email about it!
    • Use the Host Control Panel to post some pictures of the new cutie for everyone to oooh and ahhh over!

  9. PRINT OR SAVE THE PRINTER-FRIENDLY KEEPSAKE VERSION OF YOUR GUEST BOOK, JOURNAL, BIRTHDAY BETSTM AND PHOTOS
    All good things must come to an end and Web Baby Showers are no exception. However, before your Web Baby Shower ends, you can print or save the printer-friendly version to preserve the Guest Book messages, Journal, any "Birthday Bets," Baby Shower Game high scores and/or your photos.
