Web Baby Shower is pleased to provide two printer-friendly versions of your Web Baby Shower for your printing convenience. The printer-friendly version contains a complete record of all your active guest book messages, journal entries, Birthday BetsTM, Games High Scores and photos. You may print or save the printer-friendly keepsake at any time during your Web Baby Shower, but you must print or save it before your Web Baby Shower ends.
Please read this page carefully for optimal printing results. Please note that due to the of variations between web browsers, computer operating systems, and printers, Web Baby Shower does not provide any further customer support for printing or saving your Keepsake other than this help page. You may wish to print this page first to refer to as you print or save your Web Baby Shower printer-friendly keepsake.

How To Access Your Web Baby Shower Printer-Friendly Keepsake
The link to the printer-friendly version of your Web Baby Shower can be found at the bottom of your Web Baby Shower navigation bar. Simply click the "Printer-Friendly" link and you will be taken to a page with links to the two printer-friendly versions of your Web Baby Shower.
The "Basic" printer-friendly version of your Web Baby Shower can also serve as an accessible page for the visually impaired and for that reason the printer-friendly version of your Web Baby Shower is accessible to all your visitors so that they can easily see the guest book messages, journal entries, Birthday BetsTM, Games High Scores and photos in a format that is easy for them to control the font size and so-forth. Please note that you cannot restrict access to the printer-friendly version of your Web Baby Shower, it is meant to be a public page for the enjoyment of all your guests.
Basic Printer-Friendly Version
The Basic Printer-Friendly Version of your Web Baby Shower has no style sheet, backgrounds or additional graphics and the text is in black only. In addition to being super printer-friendly, it is also suitable for use by the visually impaired. Please make sure you read the following information fully and carefully as it is not possible for Web Baby Shower to provide customer support for printing-related issues.
To access the Basic printer-friendly version of your Web Baby Shower:
- click the "Printer-Friendly" link at the bottom of your Web Baby Shower navigation bar
- Read the Basic Printer-friendly printing instructions
- Click the link in the colored box on the right side of the page that says:
"Click here to open the Basic Printer-Friendly Version in a new window"
Please note that the Basic Printer-Friendly version will open in a new browswer window (or tab). Please read the web browser security information below if you are having trouble accessing the printer-friendly version in a new window.
The Basic Printer-Friendly Version is optimized for printing in Internet Explorer 6.x and 7.x under Windows XP/Vista. Similar printing results may also be achieved under FireFox 2.x.
FOR BEST PRINTING RESULTS: Please consult your web browser's Help documentation to configure the following Page Setup and Print settings:
- Browser setting: use a View > Text Size of "medium"
- Page Set Up:
- 8.5" x 11" U.S. Letter Size paper
- Portrait orientation
- 1.0" margins*
- REMOVE ALL BROWSER-SET HEADERS & FOOTERS (such as page#, URL, date, etc etc)
*In Firefox and other browsers, you may need to adjust the top and bottom margins for optimal results.
Use your browser's Print Preview to make adjustments as needed to get optimal printing results.
RESULTS MAY VARY. If you are not satisfied with the results of the Basic Printer-Friendly version, please feel free to COPY & PASTE THE PRINTER-FRIENDLY VERSION INTO YOUR FAVORITE DESKTOP PUBLISHING PROGRAM. Full Color Printer-Friendly Version
The Full Color Printer-Friendly Version of your Web Baby Shower has a full color background and colored frames and titles that are based on the design you have chosen for your Web Baby Shower. Please make sure you read the following information fully and carefully as it is not possible for Web Baby Shower to provide customer support for printing-related issues.
The Full Color Printer-Friendly Version is optimized for printing in Internet Explorer 6.x and 7.x under Windows XP/Vista. Similar printing results may also be achieved under FireFox 2.x.
Please note that because your browser is a different width than your paper, the Full Color version will look a bit funky in your browser -- please use the PRINT PREVIEW feature in your browser to see how it will actually PRINT!

Saving Your Printer-Friendly Keepsake
- Please see your web browser's Help section for information on Saving web pages to your computer's hard drive.
- It may be easier or preferable to copy and paste the desired sections of your printer-friendly keepsake into your favorite Word Processor or Desktop Publishing program (Word, InDesign, Quark, etc).
- To save any photos you do not already have on your hard drive, simply right click on each photo and use the Save Photo As option (for Windows users).
- If you are saving your Web Baby Shower for future printing or for archival purposes, I would recommend saving both the basic and full-color versions.
- Printer-friendly versions are not intended for use with Adobe Acrobat PDF maker.
Web Browser Compatibility Information
Both the Basic and Full-Color Printer-Friendly Versions are optimized for printing in Internet Explorer 6.x and 7.x under Windows XP/Vista. Similar printing results may also be achieved under FireFox 2.x. *In Firefox and other browsers, you may need to adjust the top and bottom margins for optimal results. It is up to you to familiarize yourself with your web browser's Page Formatting and Printing options before attempting to print your Web Baby Shower Keepsake.
Web Browser Security Information
Because there printer-friendly versions do not have any Web Baby Shower navigation or branding, each Printer-Friendly keepsake will open in a new window (or browser tab). Please make sure that your web browser, anti-virus and firewall security settings will allow you to see and click through links that open in a new browser window and that webbabyshower.com is listed as a trusted website in your web browser, anti-virus and firewall security programs.
Web Baby Shower Expiration Date
You must print and/or save a copy of the Printer-Friendly version BEFORE YOUR WEB BABY SHOWER EXPIRATION DATE. Once your shower ends, you will no longer have access to the printer-friendly version. Web Baby Shower cannot and will not provide copies of your Web Baby Shower materials in any format after your Web Baby Shower expires. To check your Web Baby Shower expiration date, please log into your Host Control Panel; the expiration date is listed on the Host Control Panel home page in the "Your Web Baby Shower Details" section. All Web Baby Shower end at approximated 1:00 PM Pacific US on the expiration date.
Changing the featured photos on your Printer-Friendly Keepsake
If you have no photos uploaded to your Web Baby Shower, or if you have elected to display clipart on your home page or birth announcement, the printer-friendly version will display that clipart on your Printer-Friendly Keepsake front pages and birth announcement.
Once you have uploaded photos to your Web Baby Shower, you can select a photo to be displayed on your Web Baby Shower Home Page (see Home Page Manager Help) and on your Web Baby Shower Birth Announcement (see Photos Help). These photos will appear in the corresponding places in your Printer-Friendly Keepsakes.
Photos #1 - #3 in your Photo Album will appear at the top of the calendar in your Web Baby Shower printer-friendly keepsake. To change the photos, use the Photo Manager in your Host Control Panel, to place the photos you want as photos #1 - #3 for your calendar (see Photos Help for more information). If you have no photos uploaded to your Web Baby Shower, a stock photo that matches the design of your Web Baby Shower printer-friendly version will be displayed on the printable calendar page.
Higher Resolution Photo Quality
If all of your photos have a higher resolution version saved at Web Baby Shower, the photo album in your printer-friendly keepsake will display the higher resolution version of all the photos, on both the Basic and Full Color version. Please note that if any of your photos are not available at Web Baby Shower in the higher resolution format, then the smaller photos will be used for your printer-friendly keepsake to keep the photo album consistent. If you wish (and if you have a higher resolution version of your photo on your hard drive) you can remove any photos that do not have a high resolution version saved at Web Baby Shower and re-upload them. Keep in mind that your photos still need to be under 1,600 KB (approx 1.6 MB) to be uploaded to Web Baby Shower (please see Photos Help for more information).
Editing your Printer-Friendly Keepsake
While your shower is still running, you can use the Host Control Panel to edit the various portions of your Web Baby Shower, and therefore, your Printer-friendly keepsake. In particular, the areas you can edit using the Host Control Panel include:
- Guest Book
- Journal
- Birthday/Gotcha Bets
- Games high scores
- Photos
- Credits (see below)
Printable Birth Annoucement
When you "Announce the Birth" on your Web Baby Shower, a birth announcement page will be added to your printer-friendly keepsake that includes:
- The photo or clipart you choose for your Birth Annoucement (see Photos Help)
- Baby's Name(s)
- Date of birth
- All the birth details you included on the Birth Announcement
All you have to do is print it out and mail it!!! (You're welcome!)
Changing the Web Baby Shower Credits at the end of your Printer-Friendly Keepsake
The second-to-last page of your Printer-Friendly Keepsake has a short paragraph to give credit to the host(s) and to explain about the Web Baby Shower and printed keepsake. The credits are automatically generated for you based on your Web Baby Shower Account information, but if you would like to make changes to the credits you may do so as follows:
- Log into your Host Control Panel
- Click "Edit Expecting Parent(s) Info" or "Edit Baby/Birth Info"
- Scroll to the "Printer-Friendly Credits" section
- Make your changes to the credits
- Click the submit button
Please note that all changes must be made BEFORE your Web Baby Shower expires.
FAQ: What kind of paper do I need to print?
The only requirement for the paper-type is that it be 8.5" x 11" U.S. Letter-sized paper. I would recommend using solid white paper so that the backgrounds and photos print nicely. Other than that, you are welcome to print on as high a quality paper that your printer and/or budget allows!
FAQ: Can everyone see the printer-friendly pages?
Yes, because the expecting/adopting parents do not always have access to the Host Control Panel, I have made it so that all of your guests can access the printer-friendly version and print the pages themselves. In addition, Basic printer-friendly version, in particular, is very accessible to the visually impaired and helps make your Web Baby Shower accessible to all of your guests.
Please keep in mind that your Web Baby Shower is private and that only people who know how to access your shower would be able to access the Printer-Friendly pages. Also, there really is not a technological way to prevent anyone with access to your shower from printing it, whether or not the pages are "printer-friendly."
