What Is Video Sharing?
Video is the fastest growing, most popular feature on the Internet today. There are many online video services that allow you to upload your videos and store your videos so that they can be displayed on that video sharing website or on other websites. Some of the most popular video sharing websites include: YouTube, Google, Facebook, MySpace, Blip.tv, Yahoo, PhotoBucket, Flickr and more. Once your video is uploaded to a video sharing website, the video sharing website provides HTML code that allows you to display your video on other websites. This is called the "embed" code and you use the embed code to display your video on your Web Baby Shower.

Disclaimers and Important Notices
Please understand that accepting the HTML code needed to embed videos into a website carries a certain amount of risk with it and that Web Baby Shower reserves the right to refuse to embed any code that may contain potentially malicious scripting or that would redirect visitors to a malicious website. In particular, any embed code that uses the <script> is NOT ALLOWED at Web Baby Shower.

Any abuse of the video embedding feature may result in the removal of your Web Baby Shower services without notice and without refund.

Furthermore, Web Baby Shower reserves the right to remove superfluous styling code from any video embedding code and to present the video in a smaller or larger size in order to best fit the Web Baby Shower template.

During December 2009, Web Baby Shower tested embedding videos from YouTube, Google, PhotoBucket, DropShots, Facebook, Flickr, MySpace, Blip.tv, Yfrog, TwitVid, Ustream and Yahoo! and was generally satisfied with the results. If you are experiencing difficulty embedding videos from a different video sharing website, please consider using one of the aforementioned services instead. Please note that Web Baby Shower does not necessarily endorse any specific video sharing website and cannot guarantee the results from embed code provided from any third party websites.

Known Issues With Specific Video Sharing Services:

Videos from OneTrueMedia.com will work here at Web Baby Shower, but OneTrueMedia.com does not allow their videos to be resized, so there may be issues with embedding them here to fit into the Web Baby Shower template nicely.

The use of any AOL.com service is not supported at Web Baby Shower, including video sharing. If you are having issues with embedding videos hosted by AOL, please try a different video sharing service.

Setting Up A Video Sharing Account
In order to display your videos on your Web Baby Shower, you need to set up an account with a video sharing website, such as (but not limited to) YouTube, Google, PhotoBucket, DropShots, Facebook, Flickr, MySpace, Blip.tv, Yfrog, TwitVid, Ustream and Yahoo!. If the expecting or adopting parents already have an account at a video sharing website, then you can ask them for help in adding their videos to their Web Baby Shower.

To set up an account at a video sharing website, please familiarize yourself with their privacy policy and terms of service and use their "sign up" page to create your account.

Please note that Web Baby Shower cannot provide support for any video sharing website. If you experience any difficulties in setting up an account at a video sharing website, please make sure you use their help and contact their customer support directly to get the assistance you need.

Recording Videos
How you record your videos is completely up to you! Depending on your comfort level and expertise, you can use a digital camera, a digital camcorder, your cell phone or mobile device, a webcam or even professional video equipment! You can even edit your videos using your favorite video editing software before uploading them.

Each video sharing website has its own limits for the length of the videos you can upload, the maximum file size and video file types. Please make sure you familiarize yourself with the desired video sharing website's policies.

Please do not include any copyrighted materials in your videos, including any music you wish to incorporate.

Due to the number of variables involved in creating digital videos, Web Baby Shower cannot provide support for recording or editing your videos. The creation of your videos is completely up to you.

Uploading Videos To Your Favorite Video Sharing Website
If you need assistance in uploading videos to a video sharing website, please see their help section or contact the website for support directly. Please note that Web Baby Shower cannot provide support for using a third party's website.

Whichever video sharing website and upload method you choose, please make sure that your videos are marked as public and embeddable so that they can be displayed here at Web Baby Shower (an "external" website).

Embed / Public / Everyone
To make sure your videos will play here at Web Baby Shower and that your guests will be able to view them, please choose the options that allow your video to be embedded on an external website and to be viewed by the general public. If you make any privacy restrictions on your video, your guests at Web Baby Shower may not be able to view them (even if you can).

Adding Your Videos To Your Web Baby Shower
Once your videos are uploaded to and "live" at a video sharing website, you can add them to your Web Baby Shower. To add videos to your Web Baby Shower:

1. Go to your video on the video sharing website.
2. Copy the "Embed" code from your video page
3. Go to your Web Baby Shower home page
4. Click the "host control panel" link near the bottom of the page
5. Once you have logged into the Host Control Panel, click the "Video Manager" icon (green circle with a reel-to-reel camera)
6. Choose Add Videos
7. Click Go!
8. Paste the video embed code into the box labeled "Video 1 Embed Code"
9. If you wish to add more than one video, use "Click Here To Add Another video Link" and a new text area will appear; paste the embed code for the second video into the Video 2 box. Repeat for as many videos as you want to add at this time (you can always add more later)
10. Paste only one embed code per text area box.
11. When you are done pasting video embed code(s), one video embed code per box, click the Submit button at the bottom of the page

Notes:

• Once you have added a video or videos to your Web Baby Shower a new "Videos" link will appear in your Web Baby Shower navigation bar (in addition to the Guest Book, Photos, Gift Registries, Live Chat, Birthday Bets, etc).
• At this time there is no limit to the number of embedded videos you add to your Web Baby Shower.
• Web Baby Shower reserves the right to refuse potentially malicious embedding code from any website at any time.
• Any abuse of the video embedding feature at Web Baby Shower may result in the removal of your Web Baby Shower services without notice or refund.

Choosing A Video For Your Web Baby Shower Home Page
Once you have added a video to your Web Baby Shower, you can also choose to display it on your Web Baby Shower home page instead of clip art or a photo. To display a video on your Web Baby Shower home page:

1. This is easiest if you already have added a video to your Web Baby Shower (see above). Otherwise, go to your video on the video sharing website and copy the "Embed" code from your video page
2. Go to your Web Baby Shower home page
3. Click the "host control panel" link near the bottom of the page
4. Once you have logged into the Host Control Panel, click the "Home Page Manager" icon
5. Under "What would you like to do?" choose "Choose Clipart, Photo or Video for your Web Baby Shower home page"
6. Click "Go!"
7. Under "What type of media would you like to display on your home page?" choose "A Video from your Videos Page"
8. Click "Continue"
9. Follow the instructions for choosing / confirming which video you would like to display on your Web Baby Shower home page

Due to the nature of video hosting and the size of video media, it will take longer for your home page to load with a video on it. If many of your guests are not on broadband Internet service (cable modem, DSL), you may want to display only a photo or clipart on your Web Baby Shower home page.

Removing Videos From Your Web Baby Shower
If you would like to remove a video or videos from your Web Baby Shower:

1. Go to your Web Baby Shower home page
2. Click the "host control panel" link near the bottom of the page
3. Once you have logged into the Host Control Panel, click the "Video Manager" icon (green circle with a video camera)
4. Choose "Remove Videos"
5. A list of the videos being displayed in your Web Baby Shower will appear
6. To remove a video, check the Remove box next to its title
7. When you have selected the video(s) you wish to remove click "Remove Checked Videos"

Notes

• This option will not appear in the Video Manager until you have added at least one video
• Removing a video from your Web Baby Shower will not remove it from the video sharing website you originally uploaded it to. If you wish to remove it from the video sharing website as well, you need to log into your account at the video sharing website and remove it there as well.
• You may wish to re-organize any remaining videos in your Web Baby Shower account
• If you remove all of the videos from your Web Baby Shower, the "Videos" link will also be removed from your Web Baby Shower navigation bar
• If you accidentally remove a video from your Web Baby Shower, you can simply add it again. See "Adding Videos To Your Web Baby Shower" above.

Changing The Order of Your Videos at Web Baby Shower
Your videos will appear on the Videos page in your Web Baby Shower in the order in which you add them to your Web Baby Shower. If you wish for them to appear in a different order, you can specify that order by:

1. Go to your Web Baby Shower home page
2. Click the "host control panel" link near the bottom of the page
3. Once you have logged into the Host Control Panel, click the "Video Manager" icon (green circle with a video camera)
4. Choose "Change the order the videos appear on my Web Baby Shower Videos page"
5. Click Go!
6. A list of the videos being displayed in your Web Baby Shower will appear, in the order in which they are currently being displayed
7. You can change the order by either:
   1. Clicking the "move to top" button (a blue up arrow) next to the video you wish to appear first
   2. Enter a new numerical order in the spaces provided. Please make sure you enter only positive, whole numbers with no gaps

Note: This option will only appear after you have uploaded 2 or more videos. Otherwise, there really is no reason to sort one video or no videos.

Making Changes To Your Videos
If you wish to edit or make changes to your videos, you must do so using your own copy of a video editing software package, re-upload the video to your video sharing website and then re-embed the video at Web Baby Shower.

Webcam Broadcasts

Webcam broadcasts are available at Web Baby Shower using the Video Chat room and can be integrated directly into your Web Baby Shower! Please see Video Chat Help for more information.

Mobile Device Broadcasts

If you or one of your guests have a cell phone or mobile device that can record videos, you can also broadcast video by setting up a "Mobile Link" in your video sharing account and emailing your videos to your account at the video sharing website. As soon as the videos go "live" in your account at the video sharing website, you can add them to your Web Baby Shower. For more information, please see the Help section of the video sharing website you wish to use.

When Your Web Baby Shower Ends
When your Web Baby Shower ends, the embedded video code will be removed from the Web Baby Shower system. Please note that your videos will still be available at the video sharing website where you originally uploaded them; it is up to you to remove them, mark them as private or just leave them in your account at the video sharing website.

Terms of Service
Your use of videos at Web Baby Shower is subject to the Terms and Conditions of both Web Baby Shower and the video sharing website you wish to use. Any violations of either websites' Terms of Service may result in the loss of video privileges and/or services at Web Baby Shower.

In addition, Web Baby Shower is not responsible for the content found at or the conduct of any video sharing website team or website. Furthermore, Web Baby Shower is also not responsible for the any video sharing website being unavailable or out of service at any time.

Viewing Videos At Web Baby Shower

System Requirements
In order to view videos at Web Baby Shower, you must have Javascript and Cookies enabled and the Flash Player Plug in installed in your web browser (Internet Explorer, FireFox, Safari, Chrome, etc).

Your Web Baby Shower Videos Page
Once you have added at least one embedded video to your Web Baby Shower, a new link to a "Videos" page will appear in your Web Baby Shower navigation bar (along with Guest Book, Live Chat, Photos, Birthday Bets, etc). The Videos link and page will not appear unless you have a video to display.

Playing Embedded Videos at Web Baby Shower
To play a video here at Web Baby Shower, click on the large "play" button (grey arrow) in the center of the video screen. Clicking this button will play the embedded video on your Web Baby Shower. You may need to click the play button twice; once to activate the Flash plug in and again to start the video. Please note that clicking on other areas of the embedded video may cause you to be taken to the video sharing website itself.

Viewing Videos In a Popup Window
A larger view of the embedded videos is available by clicking the "view videos in a popup window". The video you were watching will appear in a new window and you will be able to access the rest of the videos in that window. JavaScript is required to view videos in a popup window. Please also allow popups from webbabyshower.com.
