Photo Guidelines
You can upload photos to your Web Baby Shower directly from your hard drive using the Photo Manager in your Host Control Panel. You can also add captions, edit the sort order and delete old photos.
Before attempting to upload your photos, please read the following guidelines and check that each of your photos fits the guidelines before attempting to upload them. Any photos that do not fit the following guidelines will cause the upload to fail:
- Photos MUST be in JPEG (.jpg) format
- Photos must be stored on your hard drive
- Photos must be no larger than 1,600K for uploading.
Please check your photo file size and resize/resample them using a photo editor to make sure they are under 1600K in file size.
To upload photos:
- Go to your Web Baby Shower (find a Web Baby Shower)
- From your Web Baby Shower, click "Host Control Panel" near the bottom of the page
- Once you logged into your Host Control Panel, click the "Photo Manager" icon (a camera)
The photo uploader will guide you through the rest!
Technical Information for Advanced Users
Any photos that exceed 350 pixels in width or length will be re-sized to have a maximum width or length of 350 pixels. In addition, photos with a file size of over 30KB will be compressed to a file size under 30KB. If you are picky and do not want the computer to do this for you, then I recommend re-sizing them yourself before you upload your photos. If you optimize your own photos, make sure that neither the length or width exceed 350 pixels and that the file size is below 30KB. If your photos meet these requirements, they will not be re-sized by the photo uploader script. If you do not understand this information, don't worry, the photo uploader will take care of everything for you!
